    What is the deal with vegitarians?

    i could never trust a vegitartian. i mean how on earth could people not enjoy biting into a big ass steak? someone please slap me the day when i use the phrase: " lets toss on these veggie burgers ".

    why would u be a vegitarian??????

                                                      He's right about the health stuff. Besides, animals taste funny, I don't eat meat cuz I don't like most of it. and when I do find meat I like, I'll eat it. Some people don't like broccoli and no one thinks they're weird...

                                                                                              While I'm not actually a full blown vegetarian over the past 6 months I have cut meat consumption way down, to about once every few weeks. I feel a lot better, never have indigestion, no bloated feeling after I eat, and I don't get hungry like I used to for some reason. I thought I would miss meat but quite the opposite. The biggest problem I have with meat is all the steroids and antibiotics they pump into animals these days.

I see people all the time doing the 1 week vegetarian thing all the time. One week they eat meat, the next they decide to turn vegetarian, after about another week they are so sick of it and they want a decent steak. Sounds like a waste of time to me.

                                                                                                                                                                                  Eating has mutated into a form of leisure. Our primary concern is that it tastes good while we chew on it and little thought goes into what our bodies will do with it once its left our mouths.

                                                                                                                                                                                  I like to focus on what good it will do for my system, then worry if I can make it palatable.

                                                                                                                                                                                  I don't live to eat....I eat to live.

                                                                                                                                                                                  And as far as all vegetarians being the same...

                                                                                                                                                                                  Being a lacto/ovo vegetarian is not the same thing as being a vegan or a frutarian.

                                                                                                                                                                                  These are just terms for personal diet restrictions.

                                                                                                                                                                                  The reason/s someone chooses to adhere to one or the other are just as varied as the reasons people vote for one politician or another.

                                                                                                                                                                                  Some people diet to look more attractive, some do it for health reasons, some do it in extreme because of phsycological afflictions, and some do it cause they have to maintain certain weight for their job. To say that all diets or dieters are the same would be just plain ignorant.
