Van Helsing.......the Test Question to See If You Should Go To It.......

Q. Did you like "The Mummy"?

A. If yes, you'll love "Van Helsing". Its as simple as that.

If you didn't like "The Mummy", don't bother; you won't dig it.

Saw the premiere last nite.

Lotsa fun and action.........great mind candy and great CGI as WETA did the digital effects

Its kind of "the mummy" and then mix in all the horror movie monster elements, like Dracula, werewolves, Frankenstein ( which had a real neat twist in this movie to him ), etc.........its basically non-stop action........

Also, if you think Kate Beckinsale is the bomb, which she is, that alone is worth seeing it...........she is just an incredible beauty and outstanding to look at and fun to drool over.

Its a lot of fun if you go into it with the right attitude; its not "Apocalypse Now" or any type of epic movie, like "Troy" looks it will be. Its just wall-to-wall action with great special effects, a decent but not great storyline, and one of the hottest babes in the movie business. She looks way better in VH than she did in Underworld.

perfect quiz! I've noticed that people that don't like The Mummy didn't dig Van Helsing.

Yep, I'm pretty sure its a very accurate barometer or indicator of whether Van Helsing is worth your time or not.

It's made by the same person so that would explain that.

I think I will be seeing it today. When I first seen the previews during the Superbowl I was hoping it was going to be a darker, more serious film, but now it appears it will be more like the Mummy, full of one-liners and cheese. But it still looks like it should be entertaining.

I thought the Mummy was ok. But those kinds of movies are fun.

So I guess I'll checkout Van Helsing today...

Hahah, if the liking Van Helsling depends on liking ANYTHING remotely to do with Brendan Frasier then this movie is in for a world of trouble..

Why the fuck do people keep on making such shitty movies?

We saw it yesterday too...

Kate is THE BOMB in that

Think about a mix of : The mummy, Dracula (bram stoker) and League of extraordinary gentlemen (Mr Hide)...

I wouldn't say this is the best movie of all time, but if you want to be entertained (Which is what I want from an action/horror movie, not more, not less) Van Helsing does the job ..

We liked it

well the mummy was a lot of action but not exactly the plotline of Pulp Fiction.........same with Van Helsing..........if you want a good time and lotsa CGI and action, go enjoy it. Or go see kate!

If you want a Shawshank Redemption or Braveheart, you're out of luck.
