htaccess to get round these dirty japs
sigh, this site is hotlinking one of my galleries...again
http://gold.jp-sex.com I had htaccess set up this morning to redirect the traffic - and it was working fine. They seem to have done something now though, and its going to my gallery again instead of the redirect page. I was using this code AuthUserFile /dev/null AuthGroupFile /dev/null Rewr-iteEngine On Rewr-iteOptions inherit Rewr-iteCond %{ HTTP_REFERER} ^http://.*jp-sex.com/.*$ [NC] rewri-terule .*$ http://www.drunkenams.com Not working now tho - can someone help me out please? thanks [edit] added - to r e w r i t es above so the code came up correctly balls the codes not comin up correctly  |

If your gallery isn't really listed anywhere you might just want to change the whole page and stick a dialer that filters by country...

Looks like with that code you're blocking all hits from their
domains no matter what type of file. You are much better off just blocking hits to images which don't come from your domain. AuthUser stuff isn't needed unless you're using password protection. um..... looking at what you're trying to do..... it seems you don't want their traffic at all..... If they are linking to your gallery then that's not exactly what I'd call hotlinking. If you have a serious problem with JP people being able to view your galleries then you should really find a good sponsor for them (someone that can bill them) rather then just kicking them out. Also some TGPs may pickup on this and blacklist you for geo- redirection. Personally I like traffic, if they pickup your galleries.... good.... http://www.webpimps.com/scripts/htaccess/ ICQ: 10638430 send me the un-GFY'd code if u have more problems. Lens, would be nice if the BBS code tag phrased all code into hex and then we'd be able to post code without worrying about hacks. -Ben

Also clear your cache.
"They've done something" might be that you're viewing the page from your cache. Unless you can still see hits coming in. Could test it if you gave a URL. -Ben
