Porn Actor Jennifer Tests HIV-Positive

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. ? As an Assembly panel meets late Tuesday afternoon in Sacramento to discuss regulating porn, the industry was hit with another blow ? a transgender actor named Jennifer has tested positive for the virus that causes AIDS.
The actor?s status is apparently unrelated to the three adult actors who have tested HIV-positive in the last month. Jennifer?s last negative HIV test was on Feb. 24; the actor has not worked for the last three months.

The Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation said two of Jennifer's partners, Jaegger and Dex, have both tested negative at least once since their encounter with her in February and their next confirmatory results are expected on Wednesday.

"Jaegger and Dex would have passed their quarantine time and are considered out of danger," AIM said in a statement, which also noted that it considers this latest HIV case to be "open and shut."

The Assembly Health Committee is hearing Assembly Bill 2798, where it will weigh whether to mandate STD testing of all performers before production on an adult film can begin.

The legislation, authored by Tim Leslie, R-Tahoe City, would also require that performers be tested for HIV every two weeks and would provide recourse of civil action if a test is falsified.

The adult film industry already requires its talent to be tested for HIV every 30 days. But the requirement works on the honor system.

A mandatory condom requirement could be added to the bill, a stipulation that many in the industry argue would increase health risks by pushing some producers underground.

That is a funny one. Like I said before, How many actually have taken an AIDS test that showed positive, took the test to a graphic artists, graphic artist scanned it and changed the test results to negative? This this person goes to Big Hollywood producer, shows negative results AIDS test, and gets work.
