Clearly Sobe is allowed to sell some of Joe's content because if he wasnt i think there would indeed be a lawsuit brought forth...think about it for a minute, if someone was stealing your custom made content (if thats not bad enough) and license it then surely you would sue, wouldnt you?

As big of an idiot as sobe might be (which he is!) and as many stupid things as he does (Claiming to created something called "SUPERMPEG") and for as many people that hate him he is still in business...Still Selling the content in question...

I could handle this myself...get proof of sale(s) of your content which he is not supposed to have. Get proof of these websites having your content online which sobe licensed.

Is there a minimum price he can sell your sets at? Get proof of him selling it below that shouldn't be hard if it's included in a "bundle", but if he marked your sets as the set price and included his sets and charged the difference of the package I doubt you could do much there.

I would say that is enough of a foundation to go on from there. How much has this cost you so far, take a guess...over 30k?

Actually, I've bought content from you twice in the past. Good quality stuff, great prices, great service. I was the one who asked to have a couple of my videos swapped out because they contained unlicensed music & you handled it quickly & professionally.

I have no idea about your legal situation other than the accusations that have flown around the board. As a content producer, I'm sure you're more aware than anyone that this is a very naive statement:

"I assume when I buy content that the seller is allowed to license the stuff."

Scammers used to sell CDs on Ebay with content from amateur girls' membership areas, for fuck's sake!



Like others have pointed out, if there was going to be a lawsuit it probably would've happened by now. I'd guess your content is kosher & the whole mess was just a partnership gone bad. That's great news for your customers, but it still makes sense to be a little cautious when buying anything over the net. That was all I was trying to point out.

I remember this very well. It was about 4 years ago when the business was very very different than it is today. We had a nice banner trade going on for quite some time. In the beginning (year 2000) that was how it was done. I also wrote a lot of articles that were published on adult resource centers such as pornresouce and cozyfrog etc... Things work much differently today. I was the first content provider to start doing that - by putting banner links to other sites inside the content store and publish articles. I miss those days.

I am so happy now that we all can see the lies about SoBeGirl are just that, lies started by either jelous competitors, excompetitors who are out of business or going out of business or do nothing sigwhores looking for drama. I fought a long battle on this one but it is the end and I have won. I am sure that the SoBeGirl haters will continue to post the bullshit lies but I will just refer to this thread every time.

He gave away content on the board ... to about half of the webmasters that won it . I understand dealing with 25 webmasters that ask you for content is a pain in the butt and we should have managed them differently thought

Well I did not just want to giv the stuff out like that. All I asked was that the webmasters contact me via ICQ so I can find out a little bit about them and see if I could answer some questions they may have. For example,, what niche they need becuase I have so much content and many time a webmaster wants a certain niche but cannot find it and I know where it is off the top of my head. :-)

But if you can suggest anything so that next time I do a free content give away it is more organized I am all ears....
