i forgot tell you that for my riddle, the grow of the amoebas is not exponetial, is linear, if you you have 4 amoebas at the beginning and it duplicate every minute, and in 10 minutes you fill the jar.... that means that if you start with 8 that will take 1 minute less than if you started with 4.

why? because with 4, in one minute you have 8! then 10 - 1 = 9 minutes!!! easy, no? :Graucho
