    Wow! New Nikon D70

    Just saw and handled one of these for the first time today at a local photography shop.

    OMG, you'll fall in love with this camera the minute you hold it in your hands.

    Nikon really knows how to build a solid piece of equipment.

                              Geeze... Where are all the Rebel people from my thread when I was drooling over the D70? I WILL be getting one, cuz I can use the Nikkor lenses from my F5 as well!

                                                      Yeah the Nikons are nice... I try and stay away from buying cameras because I know I will have to buy some expensive lenses to go along with it...

                                                          Get a high end point and shoot like the coolpix 8700. It's not a 10D or D70. If you're not shooting content all day it's a good all around camera. Covers many needs. You could get by with it for starters.

                                                                              I really research equipment before buying and so far this Nikon is just amazing. I'd go for that if I were you. I would have bought it today, but the fucker had the price jacked up $200 over the range its supposed to be. I guess the demand is so high they can get away with that crap at retail locations.

                                                                              I'm getting the new Nikon SB 800 Flash to go with it.

                                                                                                  Held off when I heard the D70 was about to be released. Happy I did, the Canon isn't as sweet as the D70.

                                                                                                          I've just thrown down for a grip of new lenses over the past few months which include...

                                                                                                          Nikkor 18mm 35mm Wide Angle ED
                                                                                                          Nikkor 50mm 1.4D
                                                                                                          Nikkor 28-80mm D
                                                                                                          Nikkor 70mm-300mm D

                                                                                                          Along with my new SB-50DX Speedlight Flash.

                                                                                                          I'm currently using a Fuji S1 Pro DSLR which only good for web now. I need something with more MP for print and this seems like the ideal candidate for price and function!

                                                                                                              Thanks. So far every nikon dealer (usa) is telling me to go with the pentax body with my lenes verses my old nikon stuff.

                                                                                                                  Yep, problem with all the digitals is the 50k pic limit before they die...we always have one getting shipped back for replacement.

                                                                                                                  Amazing how my old Nikon F1 last 15 years with bangs and dents and kept working...and the digitals are good for a few months

                                                                                                                                              I like Nikon cameras.. but I noticed that Fuji S1 and S2 Pro cameras put out the best color straight out of the camera w/out any editing.
