I'm not sure why someone would think it's a good thing that he isn't getting jailtime. He deserves to sit his ass in jail for a while. I have no sympathy for someone that acted like he did, he was drunk and he played with a gun and shot someone. Sure he didn't intend to kill anyone that night but being drunk and accidentally shooting someone is no excuse in my book. It's the same as drinking and driving, do you think those people shouldn't get jail time when they drink and hit someone and kill them?

I have to agree with you on this one, Digi. He should be kicked out of the NBA and put in jail for life. It's not an accident if you're drunk and playing with a gun.

Now if you're sober, and it's accident, I still feel you should get some jail time, but not life.

Ive watched the trial a lot on Court TV.

I agree, all bullshit aside, some guy ended up dead, probabtion and a slap on the wrist oesnt erase taking away someones father, brother, uncle, etc.

yeah man, not drunk and playing with a gun is a crime because you're reckless, if you shoot someone maybe probation or small jail time, if you kill someone definite jail time if you ask me. being drunk and playing with a gun and killing someone, there's no fucking way you could avoid jail time on that one as far as i'm concerned. it's disgusting to see people happy that he wouldn't go to jail over this bullshit and i liked the guy.
