In this day and age, yes. Children are much more sheltered now. I certainly wouldn't want my daughters involved with older men at 12. But at the same time, 100 years ago, things were different. The world was a harder place, and the reality is, 12 year old girls were married and having babies. I don't think things should go back to the way they were, but you must realize that by UNDERSTANDING why men look at younger girls (I explained this in an earlier post), it's much harder to justify crucifying men who DO like looking at younger girls. I by no means encourage them acting upon it, but far be it from me to deny them their right to LOOK and nothing else.

Then again, when I was 12 I already had a job aside from school, and I was pretty much running my household.

Oh, and to a TRUE pedophile, no 12 years old is getting to be too old for their tastes.. they like PRE-PUBSCENT children, and by that age, most girls are starting to show signs of sexual maturity.

I'm not going to get into this right now because I have to be somewhere in about 15 minutes but I really don't think grown men have a right to check out 12 - 13 year olds in a sexual way.

Who are you to tell them what right they have to think about something? Since when is thought or fantasty in thought something that ANYONE has the right to moderate? ACTING on it is another matter, but there are men who fantastize about being with other men who aren't gay, there are men who fantasize about rape but never do it. I might not like the subjects of thought in some people's minds, but NOBODY can tell them what they have the right to think or look at. When my daughters are older, men will look at them too I'm sure. I won't like it, but I sure as hell can't stop them, nor would I have the right to do so. If they tried to TOUCH them, that would be another matter entirely.
