Hey, Gremlins can be made into one bad-ass street racer.
An old friend of mine had a '71 Gremlin with a balanced and blueprinted 390, with 391 Shift Command transmission . . . . I used to love driving that thing and racing 427 Vettes, and kicking their ass.

American Motors (Rambler) made great sleepers. I had a '66 Rambler Classic with a 343 from a '69 Javelin and kicked plenty of ass with it.

very true the gremlin x's were quite fast and yet that is still not a good enough reason to be caught dead in one......
