    Increased Mental Instability = Increased Religious Fanatiscm?

    Was standing at the grocery store today, and this guy just walks by (homless guy) and starts quoting excerpts from the bible to me.
    It then hit me... George Bush and this fellow have something in common. The more religious they seem to get, the more fanatically unstable they become.

    Unfortunately its when they are in power, that we all have to suffer. I lived in Iran, and was witness to the fucked up Islamist Revolutionary takeover of the country, all because of a fucker named Ayatollah Khomeni. Layman's terms, its like an evangelist who seized power, and to this date, they rule the country.

    I can't help but equate the current US administration along the similar lines of what happened there, to a more subtle degree.

    We have seen too much abuse of power and mass suffering in the name of religion.

    Anyways just my rant for the year....

      Those crazy guys standing on street corners shouting bible crap make me laugh.
      I post on GFY so that when people ask me what I do,
      I can tell them that I work with the mentally retarded.

              I would have to agree. My grandmother (over 80) has gone off her rocker in the past few years, and she's suddenly become extremely "religious". No one else in the family has anything to do with religion. Once her mind started to go she went straight for the Bible. They seem to go hand in hand.

                  People who don't think shouldn't talk (or type).

                    The poorest, least educated countries also tend to be the most religious.

                        Makes sense... if you dont have anyone else, you always have religion to fall back on...

                                religion = metal disorder.
                                and our president thinks god talks to him.
