OMG.... yes, I'm venting. I think a first for me on this board.....

I signed another model to my network a few weeks ago and have been waiting for her to come shoot images for design. I bought the domain name, picked out fonts and colors, etc. etc.

She cancelled the first date because she said she opened a car door and banged herself in the eye and was bruised

Been waiting for her to reschedule....debuted 2 other sites in the meantime, and now I get this email.......(AND WHY CAN'T PEOPLE USE PROPER GRAMMER AND PUNCTUATION????)

Let her go, cut her loose, fuggetaboutit. Better to either just pay a model per shoot and leave her out of any website dealings all together, or buy content from a content company and build a site around the girl that way, and just invent a name for her.

A girl like this isn't worth working with at all. Once someone shows attitude, greed, negativity... they are a waste of time. A dead end. If she comes back in a month and you work with her you will likely come to regret it. Attitude is everything in the world of working with models.


Too bad about all that wasted work and graphics etc though.

Ivy i feel your pain.

I stopped building sites for solo models 3 years ago for the very reason you outline in your post, as well as dealing with boyfriends who think they are managers giving advice about a subject they know nothing about. I have been at this game for 25+ years and it doesn't get any easier.

I try to shoot at least 20 models each month and to do this i need to book at least 30 sometimes 40 just to get 20 to turn up. I am so tired of no shows in California that i now shoot 2 weeks each month in Europe and Argentina. Flakes and no shows are less than 1% there.

I notice that here in San Diego models i book through reputable agency's almost always arrive on time and ready to go. Models booked through the web are perhaps the worst at showing up or being ready to work.
