I dont believe in summer slow downs. Sure nice hot weekend days across the states may result in lower US traffic and a slight decline in sales but late at nite when the drunks come home they still want porn.

I was always under the assumption that the phrase "Summer Slow Down" was coined by shaving sponsors looking for excuses to tell affiliates when they bitch about poor sales.

Hell if everyone believed in the summer slow down program owners could make a fortune putting the shave o meter on high and blaming it on that. No one would know the difference.

And the slow down is from college kids leaving the dorms and going home to no Internet or slow Internet. The prime join hours move a little bit too, people start to join a little later in the day.

The summer slow down is mostly crap, effects traffic more than joins. Traffic totals normally see the drop but paysites normally don't. I think the summer just removes the non paying porn freaks.

Summer slowdown? It's definitely a myth. It doesn't affect any of my sites. I rely primarily on search engine traffic . For those that rely on tgp traffic, I guess they could expect a slowdown of sorts.
