this is the 6th or more fucking post ive seen about this.... why the fuck would he wanna go with someone telling him to get a new host because hes having software problems (problems which arnt even directly related to the host)

if you see the error too many mysql connections in use just means the values in /etc/my.cnf are too low. can boost my max_connections way higher than they already are. plus more memory would help

Did I ever claim to know the infrastructure setup?
I dont know how many other sites are being run off the DB servers.. either way, the point is its not the hosts fault.
The most obvious reason I guessed was some shit with the software with any of the hacks put into VB, or some kind of database transport fuckup.
But either way, each forum has its own DB so the software for GFY could be fucked and the others not.
It would also help the strain on the system if you would get rid of inactive accounts or 0 posters. Just a little cut here and there would help out a lot.
i would ask those top boards what the fuck they did as i am sure this is a solution to fix it.. maybe those flash banners are killing the shit ? who knows but i get 50% page not founds, kinda like being on dial up.
I don't think it's a really big deal. Just make sure you ctrl-c the text in your postings before submitting and hit refresh now and then.
