webmaster convention in detroit.
Well? what do you think. Im thinking of starting something for my fellow midwesterners. Unfortunately I wouldn't have the capital to do the whole thing myself. would definately need some sponsors and shit. but im sick of having to travel to the west coast, or canada, or fla/ga to network with webmasters.
just tell me what you think. Detroit is a great city, with more soul than most of the world. is it worth the trouble?

yea it wouldn't far to drive to detroit from toronto.. down the 401.. maybe 3hour drive

Why don't you start out by having a small gathering of local and nearby webmasters? That's how The Phoenix Forum started out I believe.
I think a show in Chicago during the spring would be perfect. I love Chicago and if you get it during the spring you'll miss the mid-west heat. Next month Dr. Bizarro is putting something on in Chicago I think, you may want to drive down for that.

a chicago thing would be cool, but to tell you the truth, ive been to both detroit and chicago........ and I love detroit. Not only do I want to start something here, I would love to have people who have never been here learn something about motown. Chicago is too fucking expensive.
BUT, if there were a show in shytown, id be there.
