POP QUIZ

If your husband is having a heart attack, you should:

a. Immediately call 911
b. Run over and ask the pornographer next door for help.

What a sad experience! Hope you've recovered by now.

My mother was an RN when she was in her 20's at University of Pennsylvania Hospital. My father's father was her patient. He died in her arms of a massive stroke. My father started dating her shortly thereafter.

Strange way to meet and thank God my grandfather decided to go to that hospital when he didn't feel right and my mother was assigned to be his nurse or I wouldn't be here typing right now.

Death is always hard to deal with.

when the cruel and heartless people that posted in this thread look back at what they wrote, do they wonder to themselves.. how could I be that way?

I know I do...

graphicsbytia, your story really shook me up. I'm so sorry to hear that. I cant even begin to imagine what you and your kids are going through. :(

KRL, sad but also beautiful story. Quite often I think, shortly after the loss of a loved one, comes a positive life altering experience.

Its sad to say but you do sorta get used to seeing death and violence. The last guy I saw die was actually only like 2 months ago.
It was after the bar and we had just dropped a buddy off at home and there were 4 of us on our way back to my place. We were driving down the highway and saw a car coming head on towards us in the middle lane (3 lanes each direction, divided by cement barrier). Luckily my driver saw him and got the hell out of the way. The guy didnt even try to dodge us or move at all. The car behind us with an 18 yr old girl wasnt so lucky. She hit him head on. We all watched the collision out the back hahahahahaha of the car and pulled over and started running up to help. Thinking back it was a stupid decision. Another car hit the previous two cars as we were running down the middle of the road. It was pretty crazy. Luckily nobody got hit by spinning cars.
I got to the car going the wrong direction first. The guy wasnt wearing his seatbelt and both cars were travelling 110-120km/h (75mph). It wasnt pretty. He broke the steering wheel right off with his chest and it was lying in his lap. He also bit his tongue off and it was hanging around his chin. He died seconds after we got to him.
The 18 yr old girl wasnt wearing her seatbelt either. I ran over to her car and looked inside and there was nobody there. Checked the windshield and she didnt fly through it. I was stumped for a minute until I finally saw her banging on the back passengers side hahahahahaha yelling for help. All the doors were locked so I kicked in the front passengers side hahahahahaha and unlocked the back door. Amazingly she only suffered a broken foot and a bloody nose. The driver of the third vehicle wasnt injured at all, just a little out of it.
It could have been the 4 of us. The oldest person with us was 22, and the youngest 18. We might not have been so lucky.

Just hope your neighbour lived a long and fulfilling life. Nature does stupid shit sometimes. Just have fun with the time you have.

Whow man I have never seen some dead except on the faces of death series and even that freaks me out. Hope you get past it o.k. I'm sure it can change someone being there first hand.

kowntafit 04-23-2004 12:41 AM

I have never see anyone die but I can imagine it would be quite an experience. One I would like to avoid.
