HIV Testing in Canada

Can someone familiar with our Canadian medical system help me get up to speed on this?

We have government insurance, so theoretically it will not cost anything.

But are there any gotchas?

I figure direct the talent to a porn friendly doctor.

Thanks!

OHIP does not cover things that are not medically necessary, such as business related HIV tests. You also pay for your company medical etc.

Furthermore, I believe that pcr-dna testing is not available in ON either, only elisa.

Hmmm....

A person has had an exchange of bodilly fluids with five people in the last month, and wants to be checked out.....

Ignoring their plan to do it again, I think that you can defend the test as being medically necessary.

But good point. Thanks

I wouldn't want my health care dollars going towards it... if someone wants to live like that then it's their problem, they should pay for their own test.

The problem we have in Canada is that in many ways you *may not* legally buy medical services outside of the normal channels.

The theory is that the rich should not be able to buy their way to the front of a waiting list.

That is why I asked about *gotchas*. Things that are there but defy common sense.

I am familiar with that clinic. I was wondering if they were *porn performer* friendly, and if they would give a hahahahahahahaha with the results.

I have no one in mind. This is just a general question. If I am having a performer from bumfuck Ontario come to town, I need to be able to answer her questions.

I'll hit ya up later.

Thanks
