the one thing that pisses me off about adult webmaster life is shit like this.

guy picks up "Dwarves" domain and actually think its porn type ins, or actually people looking for "midget porn"

get a clue.

dwarves.com is worth nothing more than the 10 bucks to register it and it should go to the Dwarves, which is the 45 type ins a day you are getting.

one of the greatest ever.

show some respect.

Rictor
ok so Im way off base, I figured as much anyways.
I've been searching now for days on info about domains etc
and realize most domain appraisals are insanely over priced.
Can you give me an idea on how to get a real value of domains?
As I asked previously, are .com's the only worthwhile investment?
Does having keywords in a 2 or 3 word .com make a domain more valuable? Google pr, what value does it add?
I recently purchased a domain that I'm damn sure would be
excellent for a sponsor or someone that knows exactly how to milk the name for all its worth, so Im just trying to gather info.

the keyterms are hard call. They dont determine if the surfers are looking for porn or not, thus the real value per click is lower.

That's what I was thinking too. Free email service would be pretty cool too.

Maybe building a 'real' midget personals site. Small people need love too. :)

Cheers,
Matt

Thomas:

Go here:
http://inventory.overture.com/d/sear...ry/suggestion/

and type in facialteens.net it returns 0 meaning you get 0 typeins.

if this is the case, what does determine the value of a domain?
If surfer A goes to google and types in Facial Teens
or Teen Pussy is this not the terms that are relevant?

jojojo, thanks I have to bookmarked already, I was just using my domain for an example.

:thumbsup

Hmmm...I have an idea that would work great with dwarves.com :arcadefre

polish_aristocrat 04-23-2004 12:39 AM

Thomas, it is not that hard.

You shouldn't type in "facial teens" in the overture tool, you should try "facialteens.com", which return 0 results and probably near to 0 type-ins.

Try "nudeteens.com" - 602 results, traffic probably about 300 daily indeed.

But i don't think that you should multiple that by $0.06 - $0.08 , i think that would be too much.
Maybe rather $0.03 - $0.05

I think it is an exaggeration that type-in traffic is so golden and alsways converts at 1:250 with no effort.

But what do I know :winkwink:

Wasn't there a sex site a few years back that had girls tied up by little people like that?

Ov tool type in numbers are actually closer to a third or forth then the number OV shows then half.
Also, the per click rate is directly related to the products or services you sell. In some cases, one click can turn into 10$ and in others, a thousand can't turn to 1$.

DomBuyer 04-24-2004 01:09 PM

They didn't make reserve.

I'll take them at $14k firm.
