    Shatner Becomes Playboy Photographer

    SANTA MONICA, Calif. ? William Shatner is now a Playboy.com photographer.

    The actor who plays Captain Kirk in ?Star Trek? shot Playboy Playmate Deanna Brooks recently at Playboy?s Santa Monica, Calif., studios. Brooks was the magazine?s ?Miss May 1998.?

    "I came here with the intention of not just shooting a beautiful girl, but photographing those parts of her that say something to me ? the texture of her skin, the curve of her body and the femininity that we men like to look at," Shatner said.

    Shatner says he is a huge fan of photography and even requested an exotic fisheye lens to shoot the kind of artistic images he was after.

    He currently stars in ?The Practice? and is filming a sequel to ?Miss Congeniality.?

    Shatner's pictorial of Brooks from the session can be seen at subscription site cyber.playboy.com.
