Verotel bouncing checks?

A guy I know just told me that his Verotel check just bounced. Has anybody else had a problem?

I get ACH deposit and everything is fine. One time they sent me a paper check, which I cashed, and was stopped unpaid. Causing me to incur a fee from my bank. Somehow they screwed up and sent me an ACH and a check, but I didn't notice.

Yes one of mine bounced as well...only a small one thankfully. I asked them what happened and their response was.

Dear webmaster,

Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience surrounding this rejected check.
I can assure you that this is a clerical error on the part of our bank due to the Easter Holidays.

Please simply mail the checkback to me as per the details below and we will reissue the payment in a
subsequent payout. Please, also inlcude a statement of the NSF fees.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I mailed it out today, and see what happens, especially with the next cheques.

well ACH - they cannot even do if they dont have funds - one way if they are having cash issues is to pay the ACH people - and bounce the checks - thus getting an additional 10 days on the check people for payment - but i am not saying they did / didnt - just a way that some companies might do - if they are not in a good position.

If some company bounces a check to you. Do not send back the original check. Doing so just assists in covering it up and removes alot of your recourses that you can persue. It is a crime afterall to bounce checks.

If they need proof, just send them a copy of the fee's minus information that they do not need to see and a photocopy of the front and back of the check.

Wonderful advice...I was about to post the same, but saw you had already done so

they are always bouncing checks it seems. But they never miss their deposits Monday morning, they actually pay like clockwork.
Odds are it is a banking error.

Got my wire ok yesterday and I don't feel they are insolvent.

The only issue I have with them is #@#$% processing dropouts. There have been a few long ones in recent days.

shoplifter, when are the dropouts you've experienced? the only bad day i've had w/ them in a week was today, first half of the day was totally blank, had me checking the join pages frequently..

Last Friday and this morning. There may have been others as well. Usually they take the form of a 4 to 12 hour dry spell and then signups as usual. The dropout usually corresponds to business hours in NL.

We get a few "How can I sign up" type emails, but I am not sure what the clients are seeing. I think the join pages are timing out.

I mean it could be bad luck, but if for the last six months you are doing X su's per hour and all of a sudden you have radical changes for short periods it suggests a technical issue.

My guess has been that they are redoing things to support those sites which are now being redirected to the Ticketsclub su system.

hmm... i'll have to check my records, but you may have hit on something there... friday morning *might* have been dead for us as well, not sure off the top of my head.

but you did mention my one and only serious gripe w/ Verotel, their join pages really do load slowly as far as i can tell compared to others... sometimes worse and sometimes better, but always kinda slow... no worries here though, still happily receiving my ACH payments and still *extremely* grateful to have been selected for the Verotel Pro initial group, that $1500 was going to hurt.!

Don't worry about it. The owner, Hans probably just had to use the money to buy a new Ferrari or something.
