The circumstances were as follows:

In Arizona I had a house that sat on 2 acres of land. On this land, I also had a huge warehouse. My neighbors house bordered this land and my former greedy landlords allowed him access to this warehouse for a fee, since it was going unused by me. He had access to it with one condition-that he kept the back gate locked at all times. This was a gate that separated his property from a portion of mine.

One day homeboy gets wasted and is at the warehouse doing whatever and forgets to lock the back gate. One day, My 3 labs, all brothers and littermates, are on the property running around, having a good ole time. They hear barking across the street, and immediately tear off towards the noise. They are labs but incredibly territorial and protective of each other. All 3 of my dogs go tearing off into the direction of the barking. Normally, this would have been a non-issue but because my drunk neighbor left the back door opened on the property, when they jumped up on it, it flung open and off they charged. They were charging after a pitbull across the street who was leashed and being walked by it's owner. My dogs surronded the pitbull and clearly wanted to challenge it. My neighbor started screaming at my dogs out of concern and partly out of being just completely drunk and soon he found himself, in the center of a circle of dogs. He freaked out ( as anybody naturally would) and began screaming hysterically, flailing and kicking. He kicked one of my dogs in the head ( the alpha male), a big mistake because it set my other dogs off into protect the pack mode. Homeboy got bit in the ankle. Not tore up and shredded but he got a bite back for the kick in the head. I of course, was on the scene within seconds, running behind them. As soon as I arrived on the scene and I mean literally, my dogs were off of him. They had him cornered and were clearly pissed off, barking and had him backed up against a wall. But as soon as they saw me arrive, it was over. ALL 3 of them backed down and started wagging their tails, like " Oh hi, mom-this guy just kicked Jordan (My alpha male) and we're about to kick his ass." They all turned around out back onto my property single file, like happy go lucky dogs as if it was nothing. Now-if they were clearly viscous dogs, that man would have been shredded to pieces and would have been bit several times by all 3 dogs. Only 1 dog did the biting and it was only one bite and only becuase he got kicked in the head by Homeboy. It was a scary situation for all involved and the aggression was intended for another animal, not a human. And furthermore, my dogs only challange alpha males, never females. For some reason they submit to all females, especially alpha ones.. Go figure. Anyway, the guy walked away with a bite, a puncture wound from the teeth, but not a shred wound. The guys fiance turned around and pressed charges against me as a victim of a bite wound, has the right to do.

Things got complicated when she requested to have my dogs evaluated as Dangerous. All bite victims are granted this request. She was seeking to make some $$ of of this situation and found an opportunity. She fucked up when she was caught on my property provoking my animals the day they were scheduled to be evaluated. She knew I was at work and crossed onto my property with the intent of "riling up" my dogs to the point where they would be outta control by the time Animal Control arrived. She then placed a franctic call to Animal Control and lied and said my animals tried to kill her and they were at large. Animal Control showed up with a swat team and found my dogs on my property in their yard but clearly going crazy. One of the dogs was trying to climb the wall of the backyard to get out and fuck someone up.

Animal Control shot up my dogs with tranqulizer guns and removed them from my yard and declared them dangerous that day-without the evaluation.

Luckily for me, I had a nearby business owner who saw the whole thing-who saw this girl cross onto my property and provoke my animals. She was yelling at them and literally throwing rocks at them through the fence. The business owner came to me and agreed to sign a statement with the police that this crazy bitch provoked the whole thing and crossed onto my property. This now became a police matter, no longer an Animal Control issue. However, the Dangerous Dog ruling stuck. I was able to retrieve my dogs but had to be in compliance with the DD laws before they were released. That meant, reinforincing my backyard with metal and all this other shit that went along with it. In two days, and 2k later, they were back into my care. It wasn't over though. Now, I'm furious that A: this crazy bitch tried to harm my animals and B: this crazy bitch had no regard for the Animal Contol officers that had to show up to my property to deal with this fiasco. Clearly, any one of those officers could have been in danger and severly hurt because this woman wanted to make money off of me. The dogs couldn't discern what their purpose was for being there, all they knew was that someone was on their property provoking them and throwing rocks at them minutes earlier. When I went to Animal Court to appeal the Dangerous Dog ruling, due to the unfair cicrumstances, I stood up before the judge with my sworn statement from my witness and said, "The real dangerous animal here is this woman (pointed to her) who would purposely provoke an animal and jeopardize the lives of others for self gain and if I ever catch her tresspassing on my property again, I will end her life." Tresspassing laws are a serious thing in AZ because of the fact that it is an agricultural state and if someone is on your propety fucking with your animals, you can shoot them. Crazy huh? Not that I inteneded to use a gun on her, but I would have found another way to remove her from the face of the earth... Anyway, a dog bite is just a misdemeanor offense but provoking an Animal is a felony. I leveraged my position, called the cops and was going to press charges. The cops went over and talked to her and told her that if this statement I was showing them turned out to be vaild, that they were coming back to arrest her on Felony charges. She crumbled and agreed to drop her charges against me, but the Dangerous Dog ruling remained. I have since become very close with Pima Animal Control and their officers. I do not blame them at all, since most of them are good hearted people who love animals and they see such sick shit everyday. We both developed a healthy respect for each other. However, people who abuse animals, who use them as pawns, deserve to DIE. The whole experience changed my life completely. I can read my dogs like a book. I know when they're about to attack, I know when they are about to shit, and I NEVER GIVE THEM AN OPPORTUNITY TO FIGHT WITH OTHER ANIMALS. Course, they have mellowed out since then; they are older and much more mellow and one of the brothers passed away recently, completly changing the dynamics of the pack mentality. However, I still treat them as Dangerous Animals becuase of the past and I just don't let them associate with other animals ever, unless both of my boys meet the other animal individually first. I never allow both of my boys to be introduced to alpha males and even with females, they have to meet her on a one-to-one basis first, but not both dogs at the same time. But now we're in Los Angeles and the Dangerous Dog ruling doesn't apply out here, but the memories remain forever...
