I live in the Hotel Zone and I have speeds of around 800 down and 400 up. They just lowered my rate to 130$ usd a month. Depending on where in the Zone you are, you can get cable or DSL. I have cable. The DSL is cheaper, but the upload speed is slower.

How much for rent / food / bills?

I was thinking of moving somewhere sunny, cheap, and with broadband. Now that I've ditched my old job there's no reason not to. :D

Per month I pay

650$ a month for rent, 130$ for internet, 120$ for electricity, (security,water,gas, and crappy cable are included in my rent and my apt came furnished)

And my groceries are about 100$ a week.


If you live downtown you can rent a place for as low as 80$, but its not pretty!
