See the FINA rules stated that the TOP 24 performing teams would qualify for the Games in August. So Lei and her partner did end up in the 24th spot, and the FINA even posted on their webpage , that Puerto Rico did qualify in the duet.

But now, after talking to her on the phone, it appears there is a rule, that all 5 continents have to be represented during all events at the Games, putting Egypt and Australia automatically ahead of them, ALTHOUGH they scored way lower during their routine.

I am so fuckin pissed beyond belief, I will try to get an online petition going or something to fight this rule... because it is not fair to the athlete to rule him out of the games due to the geographical location.

I am so pissed. :( :feels-hot
