TIVO experts - what do you suggest?
I've been a DirecTV guy for years now, and have two UltimateTV units which are similar to Tivo. But as many well know, the gravy train with DTV is "on hold" for now... with the HU cards finally getting shut down this past week, and no fix in sight for awhile.
I've always had to maintain my cable subscription because of my internet connection, so digital cable has always been the backup. So right now I'm contemplating picking up a regular Tivo (cable line tivo - not direcTV). The most attractive of the bunch is the 80hr Series 2 unit, which is only around $219 after the rebates: http://tinyurl.com/yvwdc However, if I'm not mistaken I think I heard of some cable Tivo machines that have more than the standard 2 internal tuners - which would be ideal. You really get spoiled with East and West coast channels with DTV - so recording conflicts can be easily solved Any Tivo gurus have any information before I make the purchase?
