To answer your questions:

1. It is a Toshiba SD-KT50

2. Yes, it is surround sound, and each speaker is labelled by it's intended position (Front left/right, Back left/right, Center, Sub Woofer) -- total 5 speakers and 1 subwoofer.

I have not set it up yet. I am thinking about hooking it up to the computer ;)
