:mad Are webmasters in such a need of money

I can no longer visit five sites without my computer getting infected with all sorts of shit, my homepage being reset or add-ons on my favourite. Is business so bad that they need to resort to these shit. This is getting rediculous.

Man there's new activex scripts around. I thought mine was the only badass force feed that got around all security settings but there's new scripts around.

I know they're not using mine cause I've never actually used it except testing on my own IE.

i run adaware once a day , check my favs once a day , check my settings once a day and run virus scan once a day .. scheduled tasks make it easy enough to do but it would be easier if i hadnt to do it at all :/

Yeah my de-lousing routine's pretty similar. I use Spybot as well though, cos it seems to catch some shit that Ad-aware doesn't... my IE is also crippled as fuck and I spend a lot of time clicking through shit that's totally harmless <br><br>

I run 4 different programmes before I close my computer everyday and sometime I even have to use Hijackthis to get rid of nasty stuff. I don't think this sort of thing encourage the average surfers to re-visit porn sites again if his "family computer" gets hits with all this shit.

I can reset your security settings through a skript

It's only a matter of time before the spyware pushers figure this exploit out. It's way easier than the crap they're using now.

My fav is the assholes who run the programs from their submit pages.
It's bad enough that you do it to surfers, but to other webmasters?

So do I, and I've got this one nasty one that hijacked my IE settings that I CAN'T get rid of, even manually. It's a "mainstream" type start page, but of course it's got adult keywords as it's first category and adult keywords down the left side.

I don't have kids, but if I did I'd be pissed if some asshole set my browser settings so I can't even prevent them from seeing porn links just from opening the browser.

hmm most non-newbs use Opera or Mozilla browser and are smart enough to have Norton Antivirus installed.... The even more 1337 use Spy-Bot and AdAware to combat spyware on top of that...

get with the program

the thing that pisses me off the most is the pop ups that keep popping up - dialers and software programs .. if i wanted to use their gay toolbars and what not i would install them myself , all it does is pisses me off , makes me click x and never ever go back there again

I used to forcefeed people I disliked trojans all the time back in like 2000

It was fun to steal all their screen names and personal info

Sometime I re-start my computer in safe mode and run my programmes. Many time it works. If not, I use Hijackthis as last resort.
