Ask her if she has any sort of medical insurance that'll cover drug costs - Tell her that if caught early enough HIV can be controlled for years with drugs.

Also remind her that hundreds of people are working on a cure - if diagnosed and treated there is no reason to believe it'll be fatal within the next 10 years. But if positive she will have to go through a lifestyle change - sex is really out of the question cept with other positive people and ask her how she feels about that?

Also ask her if she had sex with anyone after the infected guy - what kind of sex she had with them (condom, anal, etc) and if she took steps to inform those people of the potential risk she unknowingly exposed them to.

positive or not, HUG HER. dont' be afraid to. You will not catch aids form a hug. there is a good chance she is feeling very alone right now and like noone will want to ever touch her again and if that's true that's just wrong.

Why I bring this up:
A world renowned female pediatric surgeon died of Aids in Montreal last year - a few months later it was confirmed that she was still performing surgery (with the approval of the advisory board) - after being diagnosed for about 8-10 years after infection. The way she got it was by trying to save a little boy that came from the New York - in the emergency room. I believe he was severely dehydrated and going into convulsions when she was called in to help the 2-3 nurses who had failed to get the IV in the boy. She got the needle in, but if I recall this correctly - I think blood overflowed or she pricked her finger, had a cut already on her hand and in the rush/emergency, didn't put on surgical gloves. His parents failed to advise of his condition - he died about a month later. She had her death sentence at 33 and died at 43.

Mutt, really it isn?t an abusive thread. I feel for the girls and guys who are a waiting their results but fucking for money there are risks. Rather than sugar coating it, if the women is honest in responding to some of the questions asked, she could help some of the new girls entering the business.

There are really pretty girls working at a local GAP getting paid $7.35 per hour and the thought of getting paid 750.00 plus for a few hours of work really sounds great until one tells them about all the negatives. If they agree, they know the risks. Sounds mean but it is the truth.

This is a bad situation.. a question and answer session will solve nothing as all the answers she gives now will come from being scarred and will change once she knows final results. Im very close with Jessica Dee and she just wants to be left alone. The more people that talk to her about it , the more she thinks about it and the more she freaks out. Was she aware of the risk? Well of course she was, it comes with her territory.

Certain aspects of my life come with attached risk: surfing to name one. Do you not empathize with a football player who breaks his neck making a tackle? He knew the risk. I don't think asking him after the fact if he assumed the risk before suiting up is very meaningful. Should she be asked this because she has sex for a living? Should our attitudes contain a "she knew what she was getting into" because of the sexual aspect involved?

She is in a very dismal place in her life right now (much like the others listed). But she is in no way any different from any other person that assumes a risk with occupation or hobby (when you think about it, most of us do). Yes, she knew the risk, but more important than that, she is a human being no different than any of us and maybe gearing questions and attitude according to the human side of things, rather than a condescending aspect, would yield a more telling and insightful interview.

Hopefully, everything is ok for her, as well as everyone named / involved. I don't know her, but she has my support.

Yeah, I agree too. There are a zillion questions I would like to hear the answers to, but that really only benefits our curiosity. I think more than anything else, she needs to just be treated normally and be shown that positive or negaive, she still has our respect, love and support.

I totally think its good of you Dugmor to spend time with her , but posting on the boards can bring negative results as you see what some of the assholes post about this situation.
But Im sorry , i think the " EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW " thing was extremely inappropiate. Half the questions people will ask simply are none of thier buisness. Only people concerned should be the people that work infront of camera. I may be wrong , but Im sorry thats what I think.

Does she want to go home and be with family and friends? She's not forced to stay in L.A., nobody can make her stay there if she wants to go home. She can have the testing done in Montreal.
