Frontpage help
in frontpage sometimes I save an index and move it to a different dir and it changes the images from "images/top.jpg" to "../../images/top.jpg" because thats where the file was but then I have to go back in and edit it all again. Was wondering if anyone had this problem also.
Anyone know why this is happening? Or how to disbale it?

It happens cuz you change the relative location of the page and the program remembers where the images are stored. Use the search and replace function in Frontpage to fix this.

so just goto Edit -> Replace? Is there anyway to disable that relative function?

I would also recommend Dreamweaver. I used FrontPage for years and years...tried Dreamweaver for a day and never touched FP again.

Yep, use to. Just use explorer to move your files around instead of front page. Problem solved.

Frontpage sucks ass it does alot weirder things then that, if you had your images in the root folder of the page thats avoidable, but what I really hate about front page is the tables, always different on the web then on frontpage, along with the fact it doesnt like php pages.

It pisses me off how it adds id="AutoNumber1" to every table. There is absolutely no need for that but after a month of so it eventualy stops doing it all by itself. Don't ask me how, it just does. |
