You've obviously never played hockey. When a teamate pulls shit like that you've got to wonder what they were thinking. He pulled a BONEHEADED MOVE! Have you read the post game comments? Both Souray and Coach Julien called him a bonehead. That's bad. They are usually at least polite about it right after it happened, but tonight they both said he screwed up bad. Kovalev already has a league reputation of being a pussy. He's a talented guy that doesn't produce day in and day out. He reminds me of Malahkov. All the talent in the world and does nothing with it. The fans ran Malahkov out of montreal and be sure Kovalev is done in montreal.

Haha... Souray... blaming Kovalev? What Souray actually did beside mistakes during this series..? He is not in a position to blame nobo.dy... he's just trying to save his ass... Kovalev has 3 goals and 1 assist the last 2 games... was the best player on the ice..he does 1 mistake and he's no good... ? Lol Without him the series would have been over by now... Too bad for you we cannot buy good judgment

heheheh. To each their own. He played like a star up until he screwed up. A guy of his caliber should never make a mistake like that. Especially in double ot, regardless of how many points he has this series.

You just know every member of the habs is pissed at Kovalev not the ref.

you ever played hockey? you know how much pain an wrist injury can bring?

I agree about the bumping into his own player tho... that was pure trick motion.

It wasn't a little slash, it was a big one. And Theo should stop get beaten everytime someone shoots on his stick side.

What's for sure is that this goal was the referee's fault. He gave the game to Boston and should be fired. How many penalties did the idiot ignore? I mean be consistent. In the next game, Montreal should start slashing everyone in sight in the last 10 mins of the 3rd period, maybe they to will get a chance to score.

Theo Had to try something! At least a Baseball Slide like Belfour on Hossa in the first Leafs-Sens game! O.K. Hossa scored but that was a lucky goal, at least Belfour didn't stay still!

No matter how hard the slash was he should have kept playing. And as I said earlier Kovalev has a reputation

The goat last night was 100% Kovalev. Not Theodore, no matter how weak the goal was.

No, the referee should've given a penalty. And Theo looked very bad on the first two goals.

If the referees don't wanna give penalties, okay then time to start slashing every player in sight in hope to get a chance to score.

Roger you've obviously hever laced up a pair of skates and played hockey. If you get slashed, you take it and keep playing. ESPECIALLY in a 2nd ot playoff game. In hockey the Ref decides what goes and IN overtime usually it's quite alot. That's Hockey. The bottomline is Kovalev was the goat.

The funny thing is everyhahahaha here keeps saying how he was the best player, it's not his fault, it was a penalty. Big deal if he was the best player, a hardplaying player would have taken the slash and taken out murray to avoid the goal. That simple. Do you think Messier would have pulled that lame ass show had he been in Kovalev's shoes? What about Sakic? Or Joe Thorton? Or Yzerman? Or Roenick? HELL NO! Not one of them would have pulled that shit. If he was hurt that bad go down and your knees, don't skate around like a fag and then run into souray.

There are a set of rules that the referee is supposed to follow. They where all doing good at the start of the playoffs and then all of a sudden they go back to there nasty habits by choosing to ignore the rules when it's convenient.

What matters is that the referee is the first one to blame, Kovalev acted like an idiot but nevertheless I can't blame him because it was up to the referee to do the job and give a penalty in the first place. The guy should be fired.

Look at all the holding that occures in nowadays hockey, it's getting ridiculous. Players can't even skate, they always have an opposing player hooked on them. No wonder the number of goals have gone down.
