sunshine, let me explain my position on this, and i will only invest some energy on this topic because it's JUST SO FUCKING IMPORTANT and SHOULD NOT BE TRIVIALIZED.

the majority of the gay male agents i worked with are now DEAD.

i had a neighbor who live down the street from me on scott st. his major claim to fame was he was a performer in joe gage's "closed set". he looked like a movie star. i happened to see him by chance in 1995 coming out of safeway. he was sick, about 35, really sick. we chatted briefly. he told me that EVERY PERFORMER he knew that was in the gay flick closed set was now DEAD.

i do feel bad about this.

it is now a gay "chic" era. will and grace are on tv, all-male diddling is out of the closet. and dudes are still getting fudge packed daily sans condom.

and the young studs just forget all about what started some 25 years ago---mostly because when aids started in the usa these kids were still in grade school.

but the disease still kills daily, and new infections are on the rise again in the gay community.

and what i see in the gay community is a reluctance to face the facts, to become responsible, and share the message.

because people NEED to get a clue on this.
