Mr. Mojo Risin 04-13-2004 12:23 PM

damn :(

glad I'm 27

It makes me sad that politicians(like Bush) can expend American lives as they please... over a stupid war for oil and vengeance against Saddam

there should be some system where the whole country gets to vote on a war

Mr. Mojo Risin 04-13-2004 12:24 PM

this country is more like an oligarchy

m00d 04-13-2004 12:26 PM

I've read story after story about the same thing. It's true..draft board positions are being filled in my own state. I have first hand knowledge of this...

The Truth Hurts 04-13-2004 12:26 PM

take your blinders off for a second... this has nothing to do with Bush.

People went into an uproar over the war to begin with .. but the other half called them unpatriotic. Same thing will happen if they draft .. only they'll be unpatriotic and cowards.

The Iraq war does though and he's expending lives over a very bad and stupid war

if his daughters were involved, he wouldn't have gone to war, but since they are not, he doesn't care about killing other kids

n3in 04-13-2004 12:31 PM

i dont think that could ever pass

In other words, you couldn't stick this bullshit to Bush, so you change the subject, and went the route of pandering to the simpletons.

Whatever

Fight for your country if you have to

We might as well just keep going and take over the world:2 cents:

Obviously, you haven't read the complete article. They mention that getting into Canada is very difficult now.

This business is ideal for de-localizing yourself, though.

Travel to South Americal and get lost...

Another tidbit.

A friend of mine, Canadian resident and citizen, visited a friend in the US, but travelling WITH that friend (US resident, US plated car) as a passenger.

The US border guard asked him if he was trying to *DEFECT* !

Wasn't it an odd choice of word ?

Merriam-Webster:
Main Entry: 2 de·fect
Pronunciation: di-'fekt
Function: intransitive verb
Etymology: Latin defectus, past participle of deficere
1 : to forsake one cause, party, or nation for another often because of a change in ideology
2 : to leave one situation (as a job) often to go over to a rival <the reporter defected to another network>
- de·fec·tor /-'fek-t&r/ noun

Etymology of the noun: Middle English, from Middle French, from Latin defectus lack, from deficere to desert, fail, from de- + facere to do

The Truth hurts:

Get your goddam head out of your ass and wake up. Bush is a known member of the secret society skull and bones, a well known secret society whos initiations are known to be as close to satanic as possible. Kerry is also a Bonesman, and so is Bush Sr. and former president howard Taft, and numerous CIA directors and preidents of multinational corporations.

You need to understand who controls the world, it certainly isnt "elected" presidents, its the guys behind the scenes. wake up!

http://www.infowars.com/print/Secret...ry_bush_sb.htm

You people need to really start looking beghind the scenes and stop taking the "pretty movie" called "family owned" network news for face value. they tell us what they want us to hear and to belivee. jesus christ I feel like I'm the only one who gets it sometimes.

1- read the article: they say this will NOT be the case

2- read between the line: a possibility is that pro-freedom, stand-alone individuals with good education WILL get drafted, as a convenient way to purge them. Think Mao and Stalin's methodology...

Verified.

This is some scary shit.

Forced civil service is the same as slavery.

Does'nt matter what race or gender, we're all serving the rich.

hmmm, what country does not have a draft or mandatory service

stevecore 04-13-2004 12:47 PM

if you beleive this crap, i got a guy in Nigeria who'd like to talk to you about a very profitable business deal that could earn you millions.

Yup, but they don't get involved in international affairs the way the US does.

I suppose they don't have top decision makers owning oil companies and armament companies...

Beside, slavery in other countries does not justify slavery elsewhere...

I can pin to Bush that he had strings pulled to get in the National Guard to avoid Vietnam and then deserted and has sent the Guard to Iraq and wants more!

I was in the marines and the army

I am 28 now so I would not be obligated

however I have never in all 8 years met a soldier or marine that was told they could go in the military over jail in fact if you have a criminal record they wont take you

Yes, he is a piece of shizer, along with nearly every other major political figure in thE world, all pushing toward a global army and global hahahaha head in charge of all nations, finances, and populace. but understand this, Bush is pawn, and avery poor one at that. Anyone who thinks that this guy actually makes any decisions is living in a fantasy land.

Tanker 04-13-2004 12:55 PM

the only ones I can think of are the guys that have been in since the 70's and 80s that would have been offered the military over jail

the jobs are getting to high tech to take just anyone these days hell the M1A2 Abrams tanks I was on have computers with touch screens on them and they have radio modems so that they can pass info back and forth on the screens instead of talking

Although it may eventually be necessary as Bush squanders all goodwill and trust as well as percieved competance with Iraq.
