Include text in videos - any faster way when you have 500 clips?

Ok this may sound like a newbie question, but I have not worked with movie clips before.
So what is your favorite movie editor when you want to include a text in the movie, like "www.mysite.com"

And is it any faster way to do that I mean I have over 500 clips to do this on and I have no idea how long it will take to that 1 by 1.

any help appreciated.

there is no faster way for all that many clips.
unless you got nothing better to do for a month or 2 just use them as they are.

Wrong.

Batch encode with Cleaner and it can lay the URL image or whatever watermark you want as it spits them out.

The technical phrase your looking for is "watermark".

You can watermark every frame or you can watermark selected frames

There is no way to shortcut around adding watermarks to multiple videos.
You have to watermark them one at a time.

"Batch encode with Cleaner" ??

Cleaner is a video encoding program from www.discreet.com that can run batches...IE: You can tell it to process one video or 100 videos if you want. Just set the properties for what you want done including watermarks and so forth then basically press start and walk away.

Here is what I use it for:

I take a series of videos then tell cleaner to encode multiple formats (wmv, mov, mpeg, and RM) along with multiple bandwidth options (56k, 512k) and then I drop my sites logo in the corner as an 80% transparent watermark.

Then I run the batch and walk away. With my current video editing machine, 2.5 hours of raw videos takes approx. 10 hours to encode and spit out the various finished products in all sizes and formats.

I have tried many MANY different programs for encoding. I am perfectly happy with Cleaner. Sure, it could be faster but that's what I said when I got my first 60mhz Pentium computer.

If you don't mind waiting a few days for cleaner to process a few hundred vids.

Cleaner is a NICE program..but damn..it's slow!

I've got version 5.0 something or other and I gave up on it because it does process very slowly.

Vegas beats it hands down! As does a new program I've come across called AVS Video Converter..slick and fast converter.
