German cars in general have very poor service. I own a BMW and the service has been horrible. If that doesn't bother you - then it's a good car. I would recommend Lexus though.

I took one out for a spin a few months back and if I didn't need so much interior space for my ever expanding family... I would have taken it home. I thought it was an excellent drive and when fully equipped is really nice - nicer than the BMWs I thought.

i have heard that it is a great ride. but as for the X3 i have heard stay away from that one.

x5 4.4i's are deffinetly nice, the guy two apartments down from me owns one, along side his brand new yellow gt3. my only question is why not go all out on the 4.8? Either way i recon the porsche cayenne series is worth lookin at, i'm sure the turbo would walk all over the bmws performance wise, depends how your juding them i guess.
