...from the 4th ID was just on FOX news and he was asked if the news media gets it right in their reporting...and he was diplomatic in his answer when he stated that some of it appears to be exaggerated and gave the example that when he was in Iraq a single Mortar round was reported as being an Artillery barrage.

Of course it is nothing new that the media mis-informs, mis-represents, and sometimes out and out lies.

When I was in high school, we had an incident in our cafeteria where a black girl and a white girl got into a fight over who was in line ahead of each other. The black took her plate and threw it at the white girl. She ducked but it broke with a crash on the floor. Next thing you know food was flying everywhere. Nohahahaha was hurt, but the police were called in and I guess the principal made it sound like it was a serious racial brawl when he called 911.

The next day the newspapers and local media were reporting that there was a big racial riot at our high school and they did this whole ridiculous story about it that was totally blown out of proportation to what really happened, which was just a small incident that turned into a hell of a food fight.

The media always blows things up.
