Which Virus Scanner do YOU recommend?

    V-Com Fix It Utilities:
    http://v-com.com/product/fi_ind.html

I've been using V4 of this one and been thinking about buying a copy of V5 coz mine has been outdated...

It has a lot of great tools and the virus scanner even warns my when I go to a website with exploits...

It also won't allow me to run anything that is infected... not sure if these two others I'm choosing from do that...

Norton AntiVirus 2004 (I guess I have to update this every year?)
    http://www.symantec.com/smallbiz/nav/
I've always tried staying away from Norton products... I've always had problems with them. But maybe they've gotten better... It was the standard where I used to work... and from what I've heard, most people use norton product...

    McAfee VirusScan
    http://us.mcafee.com/root/package.as...d=100&cid=9901

This is what I used before Fixit... Loved it and chose it over Norton... but I've heard many people say it sucks and Norton is better... if anyone has tried both, let me know what you think...

Are these the top three, or do you have another suggestion?

I've been using GRISOFT and have had no problems at all .... I've used both Norton and Mcafee and the Grisoft is much better and 100% more stable and reliable. Also the Grisoft doesn't use alot of your resources like the others do.

              I like F-Prot from http://www.f-prot.com/

Good if you want an antivirus program that is ONLY AN ANTIVIRUS program. No crappy bundled firewall, or web browsing proxy or adblocker or whatever else they are loading into those internet security programs these days. ;)

Uses a grand total of about 3 megs of ram and does a good job.

Norton SystemWorks Pro... all the stuff that comes with it is great besides the AV.

F-Prot out of Norway (?) Might be the other one posted above now, F-Secure. It was always a great scanner and cleaner.
