Asacp Sees Major Increase In Suspect Cp Reports - GoFuckYourself.com

Los Angeles - (April 8, 2004) ? ASACP is an organization helping the adult site industry make a difference in the battle against child pornography. ASACP received over 5000 suspect child pornography reports in March; an increase of 1000 from the previous months. Of these, over 350 sites were reported to authorities; compared to 100 per month for the last six months. This is a very significant increase in the number of valid new suspect child pornography sites reported to authorities.

Tim Henning, Site Reviewer, noted ?this is the largest increase in new suspect child pornography companies and websites with new content that I have seen in over six years. It is too early to say if this is a trend towards an even larger proliferation of child pornography on the internet than was previously reported over the past several years or just a statistical blip. The next few months will give us a clearer picture as to what could turn out to be a frightening trend.?

?We hope that the information that ASACP provides the FBI and NCMEC (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children) will help them apprehend these horrific criminals?, said Joan Irvine, executive director, ASACP.

In addition, the issue with legal adult affiliate programs being unwittingly used for billing of child pornography continues to be a recurring problem and increased in the last month (http://www.asacp.org/press/press1103.html).

A lot of the increase is due to the federal government and law enforcement trying to operate more sting operations and catch more people. So in fact they are themselves offering up CP to catch people.

the asacp is one of the best examples of the adult industry banding together to help fight evil.

The organizatin had led to the arrest of numerous cp criminals and in simple terms basically saved a lot of children from hell.

being involved in or supporting the ASACP makes you a good cyber citizen and a good person.

Think about it - If an organization like the ASACP ends up forwarding a lead to the FBI that saves JUST ONE CHILD from being rapped it's worth donating huge money to. What's huge money - well it's what is substainitial to you. For some it's $20, for others it's $20,000 for other's it $200,000.

I've backed many organizations (publically and privatly) in the past, unfortunatly the nature of the TGP business does no allow me to sponser as Sleazydream, that being said i do have ASACP links on my site in the webmaster area and I believe in this organization. I will be donating money to it through one of my non-tgp adlt companies in the near future as well once they get FBI status as the premier cp watchdog on the planet. Which from my understanding is pending as i hahahahaha this. A testiment that this organization is worth supporting.

hey aly - question.

are the cp reports going up as a volume of total traffic going up to the ASACP or are reports going up without any traffic increase?

meaning as the asacp is gettig bigger it's possible it's getting more banners out there allowing for more exposure and more reports or is it the same traffic generating more real leads now?

Joan checked with WirePatrol.org and NCMEC (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children). Both these organization have seen a significant increase, too. However, no one has an explanation, but will be watching for any trends. However, it could be with the additional attention in the media on CP arrest that people are just more aware and/or leery than before.

As far as the traffic, in November ASACP received 175,000 unique visitors; in March it increased to 235,000. This could explain the increase of suspect reports from 4000 to 5000; however, it does not explain the increase of Red Flag Reports (sent to FBI and NCMEC) from 100 to 350.
