Iraqi Insurgents Have Taken 11 Foreign Hostages - Said Will Burn Them Alive!

11 hostages, looks like mostly members of the Press have been taken hostage by groups wanting the US out of Iraq. Said the hostages will be burned alive if the pullout doesn't happen by the countries where the hostages are from. 3 were from Japan.

It might be a good lesson for the countries who made a tag team with the US to send troops in Iraq. Spain will remove the troops and Japan maybe now.. Very good for Canada who sent nothing there this was one of the most beautiful decisions of all times.

Yeah. Let's assume that the US pulled out and everyone got the FUCK out of Iraq.

Let's assume they stopped dealing with Israel altogether too.

Do any Canadians here honestly believe the terrorist attacks would stop?

I don't. I wouldn't be shocked if a bomb or something blew up in Canada.

Unfortunately I think this is going to lead to an escalation of violence.

I don't think these folks have a clue at the weaponery the US has in its arsenal, but has been holding back on using.

I think they really need to start bringin in the A10's and start straffing the streets in the areas that are out of control until the people there decide its better to go with the program than supporting the insurgency movement.

There's really no need for mass bombings, US has microwave riot control technology they haven't even used yet, developed and tested during Panama invasion and Desert Storm

The New York Post, citing unnamed U.S. military officials, reported yesterday that a preliminary Iraq battle plan "outlined for President Bush last week calls for the most extensive use of electronic and psychological warfare in history -- including secret new electromagnetic pulse weapons to disable Saddam (Hussein)'s entire command and control structure."

Quote:
"When people are talking about high-powered microwave weapons, they're not talking about a single device like the stealth bomber," said John Pike, director of globalsecurity.org, a Washington-area policy organization seeking to reduce reliance on nuclear weapons. "Rather, they're talking about a physical principle and an effect which can be generated a number of different ways for a number of different purposes."

Before the "terrorists" (you know who are the real one) attack Canada they will attack the US again , UK , Italy , Spain.. and other countries who supported the war in Iraq. Canada is like the last one on the list. They could only do it because of the troops in Afghanistan..

Say they fuck with enough reporters that a ban goes out forbidding reporters anywhere close to where the conflicts are occuring.

With no reporters present people dont have to act as morally as they do when they are being watched and all of their actions are being reported to the world press.

So with no eyes, American troops are free to take a few more drastic and less "honorable" approaches to the fighting.

Looks like if anythign the Iraqis are just shooting themselves in the foot with this tactic. Not to mention that no one is going to pull out any army for the sake of 20 hostages, just send in the seals.

They are probably hoping for US public opinion to sway agains the administration and the war, like during Vietnam.

Lets hope that doesn't happen. I'm sure the majority of Iraq's occupants just want to have peace and be able to run thier country themselves without U.S interference in their own domestic affairs.

This is a struggle that will go on for many years, to attain what it states(via current admin) it desires for Iraq, America can't pull-out until this war has all but faded from the memories of most iraqi people and the global 'war on terror' is effectivley won.

It sounds like 7 of them were released already.

'Seven South Koreans, all evangelical church pastors, were seized by armed men but later freed unharmed. The Koreans told Reuters they had been kidnapped on a road north of Baghdad.'

What i've still yet to understand is this, why do the same people who want to liberate the Iraqis want to bomb them? I'm still trying to get acouple of answers from you all which is

If your innocent friends/family were being jailed, killed and your way of life distorted and changed -- What the hell would you do!

I mean, they're just fighting for their country, when we're the actual invaders!

The people who are causing this violence want to control these areas of iraq, field drugs and terrorism

Thats why they are fighting to get the americans out and destablize the country before it can be setup as a democracy properly.

These people are also killing and threatening ordinary iraqis

Beats me. They must love all the bombing and killing and "liberation" is a decent excuse.

Thats why they are fighting to get the americans out and destablize the country before it can be setup as a democracy properly.

These people are also killing and threatening ordinary iraqis
Oh really? And you've paid a visit to all those resistance groups and got there view on things?

Besides, a nuke doesn't discriminate between your so called innocent and bad Iraqis.

I think nuking is a stupid idea, we need more troops to police the streets.

More involvment from the international community (the fucking lazy french and other countries) to go and create law and order.

Rid the country of explosives and guns

Round up the 100's of thousands of people who came out of jail during the war, the criminals, rapests etc

then the country will have a chance, instead of abandoning the poor iraqis like we did in 1991

Didn't Rumsfeld laugh at some US general for daring to suggest such a thing before the war started?

Noone wanted that war to begin with. Besides, Bush said from the start that he doesn't care what other countries think and that he'll go at it alone if they don't want to. Now the US is looking pretty weak especially in the eyes of actual Hitler-like tyrants such as Kim Jong Il.

I saw a hahahahahahahahaary on some resistance groups and they where actually creating there own explosives in-house. One guy was a taxi driver, another guy who likes the US was taken prisoner because of a mere suspicion and then released. He didn't like the way he was treated so he became a resistance fighter by night.

You're so naïve. Do you really think that they care about poor Iraqis? There's an ethnic cleansing going on in Sudan and Congo. Besides, do you really think that someone is gonna care more about your country than you do?

Exactly they need police searches to clear all bomb making equipment and rid the country of arms.

What's the point in discussing individual cases

This is about removing a rogue leader who defied the international community and refused to toe the line, a murderer and torturer, there was no way of knowing whether he had weapons for certain.

The streets need flooding with army personel to take full control of the streets until the Iraqi council begin running the country.
