    Man O' War! ((PIC))

    Im pretty sure this is a Portuguese man o' war. Cool huh? They use thier air bladder to "sail" around and thier tenticles to kill small animals and sometimes people. Im not swimming today

                                                  A diaphragm is a thin rubber dome with a springy and flexible rim. It is inserted into the vagina, fits over the cervix and is held in place by vaginal muscles. A diaphragm holds spermicide in place over the opening to the uterus.                                                                   Very awesome pics! We don't have many Man-o-wars wash up on this coast but there are tons of jelly fish. When we surf it's assured that we'll get stung about 4 or 5 times a day. It's not bad but it does sting and burn quite a bit.

                                                                  A man-o-war can actually kill a person with its sting and that one looks pretty formidable.

                                                                              I think that I read once that for one to kill a person, the tenticale (testicals is how I first read that ) have to be like 4 to 6 feet long. It takes quite a bit of the poison to kill you, but if they get you at all, you may wish you were dead.


                                                                              The article said that you would be sick for 8 to 10 days just from the sting of one that is about 5 inches on the sail.

                                                                                          best thing to do is wash the area with ammonia (i have even heard of people peeing on each other to neutralize the sting).
