Who has back-up cameras?
Quite a few people that I've met in this industry don't carry any
backup equipment when they go out on location to shoot. I guess it comes from my days as a commercial photographer (where I had backup cameras, lenses, lights & meters) but that would scare the hell out of me to go out on a shoot and not have backup gear - Discuss* |

I always carry a backup cock in case the main fails to deploy at the appropriate time!

I do. They are not as good as my main cameras but it's better that nothing.
 I still have every camera I ever bought. Maybe like 5 stills and 4 video. Plus a bunch of lenses and accesories. A whole closet full of crap. |

I am looking for a backup maybe a d1 or d100 as well as a camera for times when you dont want to lug around 3 pounds of camera.
I think I want to get one of the mini cameras that arnt too much bigger than a credit card in length and maybe 1 inch deep.

With what it costs for a shoot today, it would be foolish to not have a backup camera.
Still shoot on film, Nikon F5. |
