I used to have a computer store 1989-1992 and I still fix stuff for people occasionally.

A year ago I thought I would advertise repair to make some extra money, and it's pretty good until the customers you've helped start calling all the time with the most basic problems and expect you to fly out to their location again and again and again just because they don't know how to save their fucking emails or their teenager kid keeps downloading viruses off of Kazaa.

So I stopped.

I dated a guy who did this for 10+ years. He finally sold out a few months ago. If you don't mind being at the beck and call of 100's of customers, then it's a good money making venture. He also did sales and network though.
