I watched it a 2nd time, and the black guy was about 2 meters away from the guy when he lunged at him and punched him. It was still cheap, but the other guy had more than enough time to react to it.

didn't really look like a sucker punch to me. Looks more like he took advantage of the guys that were holding him back easing their grip up, more than he took advantage of the guy he hit. After that he just worked him, and his friends pulled him off when it was clear he was hitting him too much.
