How do you think a death of the person closest to you would..

affect your life?

its a shitty situation to think about, and most don't like to think about it.. but, it can happen.

obviously you don't know how you'd react since you've never been there, but i'd try to live my life better. the person closest to me is my gf, i don't ever think i'd be able to touch another girl if she were to die.

the possibility, though most of you don't believe in, of an afterlife is reason enough not to, for me at least.

i guess the most important thing to take from pondering these types of things is just to live every day as your last, because when that dramatic situation occurs (inevitable), i have a feeling most of everyone wishes they would have lived their life better.

Death is just a doorway to the next adventure for your soul.

Get over it, don't worry about, your spirit is eternal.

I lost a gf a whenI was younger,
Killed me for over a year, I thought I had met the depths of hell.
Then 2 years ago I lost my Father.
There is no Pain that can compare.
To this day I have regrets, but I try to remember
the fun times we had and Move on.
NOTHING can compare to the Loss of someone YOU love
or someone who Loves you.

quickly, i beleive death is a common ground. Your "soul" is what feeds the earth when you die. So in essence, every person who dies actually breaths new life for all of us. How could anyone be sad because of that?

When you don't believe the same thing - and believe death is just.... DEAD.

That's how.

uhm, is it just me or are you an enourmous tard to even have to ask that?

people who've been married to eachother for years, upon years, upon years can be very distant from each other.

the divorce rate IS over 50%. but I'm willing to bet the true happiness of all couples is probably only 10 or 20%.

i'm sure he was close to her since he stated he thinks about her every day.. but sometimes people realize what they had when they lose it.

its a legitament question.

I think enough Heart felt expression was said in that:

Yes there is alot of divorce nowadays but there is always
someone that has true love and for that we all must be grateful.
My Condolences for your Loss.

Look most of you guys are younger and not as many people close to you have died yet. When you hit your 40's like me, you've lost friends and family.

You never fill the void. It just sits there, an empty spot in your heart. You learn to stop crying every time it happens. You learn to celebrate their life and not mourn their death.

Like I said above, I firmly believe the spirit goes on. We'll cross paths again in the next level, dimension, or whatever it is.

The more it happens the more spiritual you get about it.

Its all about Love, Caring, Sharing, Forgiving, Understanding, Giving and Kindness.

Life is so very short. Most of us will only have 900 months here. In the perspective of the Universe that is so minute its not even a spec in the timeline. That's why I believe we are eternal. We shed our bodies and our spirits either come back on this plane in a new b ody to learn the lessons we didn't master or goes on to a higher level if we did learn.

Whoa.

What a truly unique perspective. I've never actually thought of it in that incriment of time. I stopped and actually read and reread that sentence twice. Thank you.

We each deal with the death of people close to us in our own way. I don't believe there is a "one size fits all".

With both the people I have lost, the most traumatic moments were when I learned they were going to die. Their deaths were much easier to deal with. I think that having to be practical and fairly matter-of-fact around them to keep their spirits up, helped me too.

I often think about them. Sometimes even talk to them. I'm not religious and I'm very aware they have gone. Yet in many ways I think of them as if only space separates us.

My Dad physically left this world last July as many of my close friends and relatives have. I was upset until I got my perspective happening. The hahahaha is the vehicle that the spirit drives and when it wears out it takes on another one. The spirit is eternal!
