They have been going downhill. There's still a few good ones here and there, but they're highly derivative and lack imagination. Also, most pranks tend to be built on funny puppet visuals - the phone calls themselves aren't very funny. Elmer still rocks.

To understand their humor you have to know what is really going on.

- the audio dialog is *real* crank calls
- their game is to keep the person on the phone longer than they want to be

The puppet action to the dialog is pure genius. This is one funny show.
