:mad Did an Airline ever lose your Luggage ?

Normally I never have any problems, The plane arriving from Phoenix was 15 mins late, then they didnt have a gate availble in Philly, so we sat on the runway for about 40 minutes while they figured it out. Anyways I ran most of the way from one teminal to the other, getting on 5 mins before departure time.Everyone was noncomittal about the bags getting on the plane. The pilot actually annnounced that they are loading late luggage on. So I tought well maybee it squeeked on. Got To Toronto no luggage Sherrie and Tara were on the same flight , and in the same boat

It happened to me twice, the first time they send it to me two weeks later. The 2nd time the really lost it, and they had to pay me for everything I lost. It took a year before I got the money

You know what, I fly a good 10+ times per year and in 6 years, never lost a piece of luggage. Now I'm so paranoid of lossing my luggage because it hasn't happened to me yet. I can just tell I'm going to lose mine really soon. But I try to fly direct whenever possible, I'll even pay a premium for it. I hope they find your luggage soon, I can just imagine its the worst feeling but at least it was on your flight home and not to Phoenix.

Delta has lost my bag 3 times now. They were able to eventually find it 2 of the 3 times and at least they drove it to me once it was found. As for that third time, well yeah... it sucked.

Only happen to me once...But it was my first day on a new corp job...

Image sitting in you first corp meeting with the CEO and all the VP's when all you have to wear is one pair of jeans and a cowboy shirt that you washed in the bathroom sink the night before...

Nothing like a good first impression on the bosses

My brother had his luggage lost when he went on vacation. He had to buy all of the clothes he wore on vacation, and it was a cruise ship, so you can imagine the crap he had to wear.

When he got back, about a week later, his luggage arrived.

What was a laptop doing in a suitcase? Whenever I fly I'm ALWAYS told that all electrical items have to be in hand luggage...

It gets stolen a LOT. Even just nice luggage bags get stolen with the contents thrown out. I usually just travel with a backpack and if I have a bag to go under the plane I just have a bigger backpack / rugged army-type clothe bag. No one will bother stealing that.

Cheers,
Matt

This only works in the U.S.

Pack and declare a firearm, the airlines will watch that bag from the time it leaves your possession down to the moment you pick it up.

Last thing ANY airline wants is bad press about losing a firearm in checked baggage.

Yes, Delta lost my nice leather Louis suitcase on my way to Chicago and then on to Cabo. Gone for 2 weeks with NO clothes.
I had to shop it up in Chicago....nice town, but the shopping is NOT LA

I finally got the suitcase back 2 months later...

Happened to me and my wife going to Vegas for Internext. Late connector missed a flight and had to run in 2 termanals to get to Vegas at a reasonable time Saturday. Luggage never arrived until Sunday morning. Good thing the wife had a carry on but I had to buy a few essentials to be able to go out Saturday night.

It happened to me when I went to Vegas Internext a year ago, they found it after a couple of days thankfully, all my convention stuff was in there. Also the suitcase was all busted up and some of my stuff damaged, thankfully they gave me a replacement.

It was wise to carry on the laptop and camera. I always push it taking as much as I can as carry on to minimise the chances of losing anything. I hope you get the rest back.

It happened to me twice...once in Texas. Took them about a week to find and return it. Other time was in NY, someone else picked up my bag, I picked up their bag....when I got home I realised I had someone else's bag I returned their bag right away, and the airline lost mine for over 2 weeks!

Its a good thing we are working on the pics, and wil be up late, but it pisses me off because I left some notes in the luggage in regards to them

Yep, once flying from LA to Philly. And none of my suitcases were there when I arrived. I had a shit fit when they told me they had accidently been sent on a plane going to another city.

Fucked thing is they couldn't find them at the other destination either.

So I went and bought all new clothes for my stay and then the worst part is the next day they arrived by courier after I had already gone shopping.

damn

i never check-in any bags.....your allowed 2 carryones, so i always take one carry-one luggage and then a backpack (with enough room to squeeze in my purse on the plane).

i dont trust airlines. had a close call once....never again!

Not yet, but I've only ever flown direct flights except once to montreal.

If it was going to happen to me I would def. prefer on the way home, at least you don't have to rush out to get some clothes.

Thats also why you always should bring medication, contact lenses etc on your carry on.

just as a tip
regardless how rich you are
i cannot recommend anyone to travel with louis vuitton & co. bags
you would be surprised how often they are stolen
i heard from many friends who never saw their "expensive" luggage again
i even know big entrepreneurs who travel with bags looking as if they are the poorest fucks
secure and heavy but shabby looking

I've had luggage lost on me multiple times but what do you expect from people who dont know how to read? All those airport codes and crap probably confuses the morons who work for a majority of those airlines.

Well we finally got our luggage at around 8pm last night. US Air also lost our luggage going to Vegas. I now refer to them as GHETTO AIR and we will never take that airline again.

After the guy masturbating in his seat on the way there and them not doing anything but wondering what we were going to do that evening when we got to Phoenix they are now DEAD to me!

We will be firing off a letter to them shortly.

I will never fly US Airways again. That guy masturbating next to me for two hours, and then the steward asking me out on a date was just about enough, then they loose our luggage and are extremely late to the connecting airport.

JFK I hope you got your luggage last night! It finally arrived pretty late last night... at least we made it okay
