Everyone deserves to be fairly paid in relation to what the series is worth, but it's this kinda shit that kills great shows.

If they pony up, it will put extraordinary stress on the show to recoup the costs. The Simpsons probably don't have much more than 2-4 years left max, and these strikes might cut that much shorter. Hopefully things work out amicably for both sides.
