this "innovation" by bill gates is nothing new. The concept has been kicked around a long time and theres already programs like it in use today. One example would be hashcash (hascash.org) and the sytem mailblocks uses. Im not sure why most places wont use it but they just dont. In my opinion it would be quicker to just hit delete the email instead of waiting 15 seconds for your computer to solve a math problem. Not to mention this could put a heavy load on websites which send thier members updates, such as paypal or ebay.
