Despite the non-voting US hippies on this board, socialists, communists and islamic fundamentalists alike, it will be a solid Republican victory in the Fall.

If you don't vote then you have fuck all to say about anything relating to politics.

thats your opinion, and i disagree... people arent entitled to your votes and frankly most candidates do little to earn peoples votes... if politics wasnt a dirty game filled with whores perhaps more people would vote

and for the record i vote

edit:
on top of that there are many people who are ill informed that vote, and their votes are like people participating in a taste test without eating the food... i think that alone proves your point wrong

But isn't that all the more reason people who are informed need to vote?

you missed the 1st part of it, some times... most times there isnt someone worth voting for... ideally the person not feeling either of the 2 main candidates would vote for a 3rd party just to raise awareness but there isnt a third party that appeals to everyone to my knowedge... i think thats the problem... most americans who dont vote are socially liberal and fiscially conservative...

But not voting at all doesn't help that situation.

I agree sometimes it's a lesser of two evils, but not voting this time isn't going to make it better next time.

Well somebody has to make money off of the underdog..

I figure you have to educate yourself and make a sound decision for a candidate based on their track record, even if that candidtate has a rats ass in hell's chance of winning... then you can at least say you took part and tried to make a difference...

I get scared when poll time comes around again. I mean here we are helping all these countries who rig elections and overthrow presidents and this and that and we're literally living in the same environment. I"m really blown away.

You get to the point where you become apathetic, which of course is what the politicians want. Just don't vote, lower the margin for them and secure a victory.

What we need is a badass spiritial warlord or tribal leader with mad knowledge and charisma to bring the "old ways" back.. yeaaa haaah

Who said that I had anything to say about politics anyway? Glad you think your vote counts for so much - especially since we do not directly elect our president.

Then vote for your Senator and Congressman and all the local offices - just skip the President....

Your vote counts for all of them.

(I think it is time to do away with the Electorial College myself)

Most of us would support a change to a 15% flat tax tomorrow. Taxation is a big area the Democrats fear changing.

vs.

Today's USATODAY/CNN/GALLUP Poll shows Bush pulling away - "For the first time since mid-February, Bush leads Democrat John Kerry, 51%-47%. With independent Ralph Nader in the race, Bush leads 49%-45%, and Nader receives 4%."

Loooong way to go yet, and things will probably flipflop several times.

See they are not afraid of change. They have no problem reducing our freedom to force individuals to conform to their beliefs that stem from the invisible man that they worship.

I'm voting Libertarian for sure.

Who really wastes their vote - somebody who votes for something they don't believe in because it has a better chance of winning, or somebody who votes for what they believe in? If being a weak minded sheep means I'm not wasting my vote, I'll 'waste' my vote.

I think the whole system of leadership needs to be updated. Having 2 people to choose from is ridiculous. Having one man with that much power is outdated with the diversity of opinions in todays world.

My suggestion is drop the President of the US and change it to a Board of Directors in the executive office. That way you can have representation for all the major varied sectors of the country on the Board.

Leadership by committee huh?

That's what Congress and the Senators are for.

THAT is who people should start paying attention to if you want to really look at what is wrong in this country.
