How many of you had a C64 or Amiga?

If so, were you a member of a demogroup that time ?
If so, what was the name of the demogroup?

Me, I was a member of "Omicron", a group with 8 members doing trainers/intros/demos. Later on "Cascade". Did 100 demos or so.

Brain me?

I had both. I don't know about a demogroup though, I just copied and traded games with friends.

Hell yeah. Some of my best gaming memories are from my C64. My first computer ever!

For that bunch... I had C=64, C=128, and an Amiga 1000.

My first 300 baud downloaded game was something called Megadraconis I think.

It was sort of like a very very early version of Metroid.

I had quite a few C64's, seemed like they broke once a year from the power supply going out. My Amiga500 is still in the garage at my parents house.

I was in TLOD & Epic. The Dawg = Syntax Error

Ahh the memories...

Nope - Gabbard. I'm good friends with the guy who started it. We were making games for the Tandy Color Computer and he decided he wanted to try a magazine. There was already a magazine for the color computer (rainbow) so he decided to focus on Vic20/C64.

The C64 with games ran circles around the CoCo but development stuff on it sucked so we developed a way to build the games on our Coco's and serially download it into the C64 (which btw was a damn site faster than their slow friggen floppy drives)

The floppy drive. Was cool! 1541 wasn't it???! You could spare a few dimes if you clipped the left side of the disk. Then you could save on both sides of the floppy!
Which was, endeed, 15 1/4" right?

Oaaah, memories. Missed.

I had the Vic-20 with the Datasette drive (Tape Recorder) as well as the 64C (Which was a more streamilined and updated version of the C-64) and I ran both of the on a 13" Magnavox B&W TV.

I still have the 300bps modem as well as an Epyx Fast Load Cartridge (Remember them? They made Summer & Winter games) that supposedly made your 1541 load games quicker. I still have it in a box here somewhere. I should find it and take a pic

Those were the days when my days were filled with BBS chat and my evening's were filled with Infocom's Zork!

I had a C64. I got it for Christmas when I was 8 or 9. I LOVED that thing. We actually went through several over the years. I spent alot of time playing Radar Rat Race (the first game I got for it) on cartridge, as well as Infiltrator, Impossible Mission, M.U.L.E., Legacy of the Ancients, Bard's Tale, Summer Games, Winter Games, the Infocom games like Zork, Starcross, Suspended... there were alot of great games for it!
