How can you set the color that is to be replaced with what you remove?

wont work - both foreground and background (in the color selection) are my desired color

but magic eraser removes the stuff, but replaces it with the transparent color..

do i have to set background image color somewhere? (im editing a previously made gif)

I'd suggest leaving the magic eraser in the box and going to the adjustments window, working with the hue & saturation levels.

Try this.

Make a new .psd file, the same size as your image. Make it a solid background color, the color you want.

Paste your gif over it as a new layer.

When you cut out parts of the new layer, your gif, that background color should come through.

You could try this:

SELECT>COLOR RANGE

And use the 'eye-dropper' tool to select the color you want to replace. Then:

EDIT>FILL>(either Foreground or Background' Color)

Also in the SELECT COLOR dialogue you can play around with the "Fuzziness" value to get the desired effect.

Hope that helps.

I told you exactly how to fucking do it.

If you don't know shit about layers, then forget it.
