No, man. That really took me by surprise, even the very last ending, I knew they were working the grocery lady in there but it was very good overall ending to the whole thing.

How weird, just finished watching the movie and came in and saw your post. It seemed like just an alright flick until the last 20 min through me for a loop and ended up being a decent movie.

Why? He got exactly what he needed to get out and cure his 'issues'.

Yep, I wanted him to seek out his partner for revenge also, but came to that conclusion that ultimately he saw his loss as a blessing to start his new life.

Yes, I agree. Great movie indeed, my personal favorite of last year (Over Badboys II, 21grams & Mystic River). Character development involved with this movie will go unsurpassed! Never has a movie took such a 180 degree emotional turn. I went from hating everyone, and everything. Into - leaving the theater with a huge smile (movie or not, I was truly happy for Roy at the end). Haven't felt such an attachment since Shawshank Redemption.

This is called being meticulous. Instead of overanalyzing each and every sequence, let your mind roam. Trust me, no prizes are rewarded at the end of the movie - For deciphering the plot ten minutes in. I would know, I used to be the same way, until I learned to ease up and enjoy each viewing for just what they're - Movies.

I made the mistake of reading an article about it before watching it, so I knew what was going to happen. I still really liked it though

Yeah, this was a great movie. I thought the girl in the movie was incredible....Allison (furgot her last name). I then rented White Oleander and am convinced she's one of the best actresses working today. Her only downfall may be that she looks like a 12 yr old girl. In reality I believe she's 22-23.

That's one of the movies that I rented this weekend too. I thought it was one of Cage's better performances. But I also thought the plot was paper thin from the beginning. As soon as he met the girl, I was wondering when she was going to fuck him over. Still a great movie though.

It was a good movie TIB, but you just knew he was goign to get it in the end. Sam Rockwell, watchout for him hes going to get really big shortly.

Usually I see things coming but honestly, this time I was so drawn to the unfolding story that I didn't even try to guess what the ending might be, except his relationship with the cashier which was pretty obvious.
